Terms of Use

1. What Tuck is

Tuck is a tool that helps you save, organise, and find links. It runs in your web browser and stores your data locally on your own device — in your browser's storage. Tuck does not require an account, and your saved links, titles, notes, tags, and other content are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.

2. Your data lives on your device — and so does the responsibility for it

Because Tuck is local-first, your data is stored only in your browser on your device. This has an important consequence you must understand and accept:

  • We do not have a copy of your data. We cannot see it, recover it, or restore it for you.
  • Your data can be lost. Clearing your browser data, uninstalling your browser, switching devices, browser updates, private/incognito sessions, device failure, or storage limits can permanently delete your saved links.
  • You are responsible for keeping your own backups. Tuck provides an Export feature so you can save a copy of your data as a file.

By using Tuck, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for backing up your data, and that we are not liable for any loss of data however it occurs.

3. The Service is provided "as is"

Tuck is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

  • that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at any particular time;
  • that any defects will be corrected;
  • that the Service or any features will meet your requirements or expectations;
  • that link detection, categorisation, titles, or any automated feature will be accurate or complete.

You use the Service at your own risk.

4. No guarantee of availability or continuity

Tuck is an independent product that may change, be updated, be paused, or be discontinued at any time, with or without notice. We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. We do not guarantee that the Service, or any particular feature, will remain available. Again — this is why keeping your own exported backups matters.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall Tuck, its creator, or anyone associated with it be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use Tuck only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • use the Service to store, share, or distribute unlawful, harmful, or infringing content;
  • attempt to disrupt, attack, reverse-engineer for malicious purposes, or compromise the security of the Service;
  • misuse any import/sharing features to distribute malicious links or content to others.

You are responsible for the links and content you choose to save and for ensuring you have the right to use them.

7. Links to third-party sites

Tuck stores and opens links to third-party websites. We have no control over and are not responsible for the content, availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site you save or open through Tuck. Opening a link is at your own discretion and risk.

8. Privacy

Your use of Tuck is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what limited information we do and do not collect. In short: your links stay in your browser, and we use only privacy-first, aggregate analytics. Please review it.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes may be noted within the Service. Your continued use of Tuck after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Contact

If you have any questions about these Terms, you can reach us at: hi@gotuck.app

Tuck is a small, independent product offered free of charge. These Terms exist to be clear and fair about what that means — most importantly, that your data lives on your device, and keeping your own backups is your responsibility.
